Payment Terms, Cancellations & Course Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses, workshops and training programmes provided by The London Academy of Bespoke (“The LAB”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By enrolling on a course or making a payment, the student (“you”, “learner”) agrees to these terms.
1. Payment Terms
1.1 All course fees must be paid in full in advance in order to secure a place on the course, unless a formal payment plan has been agreed in writing by The LAB.
1.2 Payments may be made via:
Bank transfer
Card payment at our premises
Any other payment method approved by The LAB.
1.3 When paying by bank transfer, the student learner number or invoice reference must be included as the payment reference.
1.4 A place on a course is not guaranteed until full payment or deposit has been received and confirmed.
1.5 If a payment plan is agreed, all instalments must be paid on the agreed dates. Failure to make payments may result in:
Suspension from the course
Removal from the course
Outstanding balances becoming immediately payable
1.6 The LAB reserves the right to refuse admission to any class where payment has not been received.
2. Deposits
2.1 Any deposit paid to secure a course place is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, except where the course is cancelled by The LAB.
2.2 Deposits are used to secure course materials, tutor availability and reserved class capacity.
3. Refund Policy
3.1 Course fees are generally non-refundable once the course has commenced.
3.2 Refund requests submitted prior to the start of a course may be considered at the discretion of The LAB, however:
The deposit will not be refunded
Administrative costs may be deducted.
3.3 Once a course has started, refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and solely at the discretion of The LAB.
3.4 Any approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible and may take up to 14 working days.
4. Student Cancellation or Non-Attendance
4.1 If a student cancels their place or fails to attend a course, no refund will be provided.
4.2 If a student withdraws from a course after it has begun, all remaining payments remain payable in full.
4.3 Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation.
4.4 Students who cannot attend a session will not be entitled to a refund, replacement session, or transfer unless otherwise agreed by The LAB.
5. Illness, Emergency & Exceptional Circumstances
5.1 If a student cannot attend a course due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, The LAB may, at its sole discretion, offer:
a transfer to a future course
a partial refund
credit toward another course
5.2 Supporting documentation may be required.
5.3 Short notice cancellations due to illness may not be eligible for refund.
6. Course Changes, Cancellation & Minimum Numbers
6.1 Courses are subject to minimum student enrolment numbers.
6.2 If minimum enrolment is not met, The LAB reserves the right to:
cancel the course and issue a full refund; or
reschedule the course; or
offer students the option to transfer to another course.
6.3 If The LAB cancels a course before it begins, students will be offered either:
a full refund, or
a transfer to another course.
7. Class Rescheduling
7.1 Occasionally classes may need to be postponed due to circumstances outside our control, including but not limited to:
tutor illness
venue issues
extreme weather
public health guidance.
7.2 In such cases, The LAB will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session.
7.3 The replacement session will be scheduled based on majority availability of enrolled students.
7.4 Students unable to attend the rescheduled session will not be entitled to a refund.
7.5 If a replacement session cannot be arranged, a pro-rata refund for that session may be issued.
8. Online Delivery (Pandemic / External Disruption)
8.1 If face-to-face classes cannot continue due to government restrictions, public health emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control, courses may be delivered online where possible.
8.2 Where courses are transferred to an online format, no refunds will be provided.
9. Student Conduct
9.1 The LAB reserves the right to remove any student from a course without refund if their behaviour is:
disruptive
unsafe
abusive
damaging to property
harmful to staff or other students.
9.2 Students must follow health and safety instructions at all times while attending courses.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All course materials, teaching methods, documents, demonstrations, and training content are the intellectual property of The London Academy of Bespoke.
10.2 Course materials must not be reproduced, distributed, copied, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
10.3 Students may take personal notes for their own learning purposes only.
11. Photography, Media & Social Media
11.1 Students may take photographs for personal use only, provided no confidential course content or proprietary techniques are disclosed.
11.2 Any public sharing of course content, images or information relating to The LAB must receive prior written permission.
11.3 The LAB reserves the right to request removal of any online content which:
misrepresents the course
reveals proprietary techniques
damages the reputation of the business.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 The LAB will not be liable for:
indirect or consequential losses
travel costs
accommodation costs
loss of earnings arising from course cancellation or rescheduling.
12.2 Students participate in practical training at their own risk and must follow all safety instructions provided by tutors.
13. Governing Law
13.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
