Content: Draft and make a traditonal shirt

Learn how to take a full set of bespoke measures and draft a complete shirt pattern from scratch using Lizandra’s drafting system, then learn how to make a standard size traditonal shirt with Paloma. We insist on your first shirt being a standard size to keep continuity in class then you can make your own shirt from the pattern you draft in your own time post course - 100% cotton poplin is available to purchase from our school shop upon request.

MORE ABOUT YOUR TUTOR: Lizandra Cardoni earned her BA in Bespoke Tailoring at London College of Fashion. While studying, she had the opportunity to work for major brands like CELINE, Regina Pyo, Palmer//Harding, and Isa Arfen, where she developed a keen eye for design and a deep nderstanding of the design process. 

For the last ten years, Cardoni has dedicated herself to mastering the craft of shirt making and has worked for and learned from some of the most well-known shirt makers in London, such as Turnbull &Asser, Emma Willis and now Budd Shirtmaker’s. She had also the opportunity to train under David Gale, a master in his shirt making techniques. 

She’s had the honour of making shirts for individuals such as, Sir Sam Mendes, Keneth Branagh, Jamie Fox, Alex Kapranos, Pedro Pascal and others and has also had her work featured in exhibitions on Carnaby Street and at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
